The DFAT® test setup involves electro-dynamic loudspeakers, arranged uniformly around the test article, to generate a diffuse and well-controlled direct sound field at the surface of the unit under test (UUT).
DFAT® has replaced traditional, expensive reverberant chamber acoustic facility tests (RAFT or RFAT) with an economical and superior alternative for the space industry.
